Our COVID-19 Response

» About Us » COVID-19 Procedures

Your health and safety are our primary concern here at Oasis Dental Care. We have always kept a very clean and safe environment for our patients and staff. See what else we have added in response to COVID-19:

Front Desk Barriers

We’ve installed barriers at the front reception desk to help separate and protect both our patients and staff.

Staff Screenings

We are screening our staff for symptoms at the start of each workday. Anyone with symptoms will be asked to stay at home to quarantine for 2 weeks.

Fewer Appointments

We are slowing down the schedule to accommodate social distancing measures, and an enhanced and rigorous cleaning schedule. We are maintaining our large staff because we take care of our team. We also want to make sure that we’re being very careful with the enhanced cleaning and safety protocols.

Surgically Clean Air

We will be cleaning the office hourly with high level surface disinfectant. We also have 9 air purifiers onsite! 3 hospital grade air purifiers from surgically Clean Air, and one 4-level HEPA filter in each of the six operatories.

Curbside Check-In

We ask that you check-in from your vehicle prior to appointments. This will allow us to ask a few screening questions to make sure that you are asymptomatic and healthy.

Temperature Checks

Upon arrival in the office, we’ll take your temperature with an infrared thermometer. Next, we’ll have you wash your hands, and then we’ll check you with a pulse oximeter.

Online Forms

Forms can be completed online in advance, and we also have tablets that can be used for the electronic forms, that are disinfected with Lysol spray between patients. For any paper forms, we’re putting pens aside between patients to be disinfected at the end of the day.

Coffee Bar

The magazines are put away, and so is the coffee bar, for the foreseeable future. If you would like something to drink, just ask! We’ll bring it to you.

More Space

The reception area chairs are spaced out. There is additional seating outside in the courtyard. We ask that you do not bring friends or family to appointments, unless absolutely necessary.

Mouth Rinses

Prior to all appointments, patients will be given a hydrogen peroxide-based rinse as recommended by the ADA

Custom Printed Masks

In addition to providing N95 masks, Dr. Rodda has 3D printed custom-fitted masks with a filter for each staff member. These are definitely overkill in respect to CDC standards, but we want everyone to feel safe.

3D Printed Shields

We’re also 3D printing face shields.

If you are a healthcare worker or are in an occupation that puts you at risk for COVID-19. Please call our office and we can provide you masks and face shields at no cost.

DryShield Mouthpieces

We have always utilized DryShield mouthpieces to control aerosols, as well as high-speed suction. We’re very fortunate because vendors are sold out of this product at the moment. We’re well stocked up!

Our hygienists are also using the DryShields and will be limiting the use of equipment that produces aerosols
