Straighten Your Smile with Invisalign ® in Flagstaff

Invisalign Is A Faster, More Discreet Treatment
Traditional braces aren’t always a patient’s desired treatment to help straighten their teeth. The metal bracket and wires can be uncomfortable, the food you eat may be restricted, and they aren’t necessarily the most appealing.

Here at Oasis Dental Care, we want to help you achieve your dream smile without going through the embarrassment or discomfort of wearing braces. As a certified Invisalign provider, we now offer the clear aligners right here at our Flagstaff office.

Invisalign corrects crooked or misaligned teeth week after week as it gradually moves your teeth into their desired place. The clear aligners are virtually invisible, easy-to-use, comfortable, and can be removed when you eat or even for a special occasion.

Your clear aligners are custom-made just for you. The aligners are made of SmartTrack® material after we take digital impressions of your smile, which helps ensure they fit snugly over your teeth as they move. Each aligner shifts your teeth slightly, moving them horizontally and vertically, as well as even rotating when needed.

Invisalign is engineered to use the right amount of force, in the right place, at the right time. When you change to the next set of aligners every week or two, your teeth gradually move into position, following a custom treatment plan that’s been mapped out at your consultation.

How Invisalign Works

See what Invisalign can do for you.

Overly Crowded Patient’s Chief Concern

This-26-year old female believed there wasn’t enough room within her jaw for all of her teeth to fit normally. Her doctor told her that when left untreated, overly crowded teeth can cause dental decay, and increase in the chances of gum disease, and can prevent the normal function of teeth. She was treated with Invisalign over the course of approximately 10 months.

Crossbite Patient’s
Chief Concern

This 27-year-old female was unhappy that her upper and lower jaws seemed to be misaligned. This caused her upper teeth to bite on the inside of her lower teeth, and she could tell it was causing excessive wear. Her doctors told her this issue could also cause gum disease and bone loss. Her Invisalign treatment lasted approximately nine months.

Overbite Patient’s
Chief Concern

38-year-old female was concerned that her upper teeth overlapped her lower teeth too much. Not only is this a cosmetic issue, but it can lead to health problems later in life, so she was anxious to get it fixed. She was treated with Invisalign in approximately 20 months.

Gapped Teeth Patient’s
Chief Concern

56-year-old male was concerned that his teeth were abnormally spaced and very far apart. His doctor told him that, while this might just seem unattractive, spacing issues in teeth can also cause some periodontal diseases. His Invisalign treatment lasted approximately 10 months.

Invisalign vs. Alternative Clear Aligners

Sometimes, other clear aligner treatments might sound like a better option because they’re conveniently sent right to your home, eliminating your need to go see a dentist. Although this seems ideal, these at-home aligners can generate more complications in the future.
By coming into our Flagstaff office, our team will be able to get to know you and your unique case, allowing us to decrease the chance of any problems from occurring or seeing unsatisfactory outcomes. With us, your treatment is completely customized for you and based on your smile goals.

Invisalign FAQ

Does Invisalign hurt?

Invisalign is one of the most comfortable treatments that efficiently realigns your teeth. Some patients will feel slight pressure when they wear their first set of new aligners, but this discomfort will gradually diminish as your teeth begin to shift.

Is Invisalign covered by insurance?

Most dental insurance providers will cover the same amount of your Invisalign treatment as they do with braces. Typically it will be a percentage or dollar amount that they cover, and any remaining balance will be up to you to pay.

How do you clean and maintain your Invisalign trays?

When you receive your Invisalign trays, we will provide you with a cleaning solution that works best for your aligners. You can also gently brush them with a toothbrush and toothpaste in lukewarm water, but make sure it doesn’t get too hot so your aligners don’t deform.

Can I remove my braces and get Invisalign?

Yes, it’s possible. If you’re currently wearing braces and are curious about getting Invisalign, it’s best to schedule a consultation with us so we can explore your case.

Is Invisalign removable?

Yes, you can take out your Invisalign whenever you eat and need to clean them. Otherwise, you should be wearing your aligners for 20 to 22 hours each day.

How long does the Invisalign treatment take?

The length of your Invisalign treatment depends on multiple factors such as how complex your case is and how consistently you wear your aligners. An estimate of your treatment time can be determined at your consultation, but it may vary. Generally, Invisalign treatment is 12 to 18 months.

What can’t I drink and eat while wearing Invisalign?

With Invisalign, your diet isn’t restricted at all! Since you can remove them whenever you need to, you can eat and drink whatever you want.

Can you drink alcohol while wearing Invisalign?

To avoid staining, we generally suggest you don’t wear your aligners when drinking dark-colored alcoholic beverages. However, if it’s a clear liquid, it won’t drastically impact your Invisalign treatment. Just remember to brush them as soon as you can once you’re home.

Can you drink coffee while wearing Invisalign?

Never drink hot coffee or tea with your Invisalign trays in. These beverages can warp their appearance and cause staining.

Are You Eager to Straighten Your Smile?

There’s no need to feel embarrassed by traditional metal braces anymore. With Invisalign clear aligners, you can achieve a beautifully straight smile faster and more discreet than ever before. Schedule a consultation with us today to see if this treatment is right for you.

In extreme cases where Invisalign is not the best treatment, we can refer you to an Orthodontist for other correction options for malpositioned teeth and jaws.
